'Khel' at IIM with their production 'POSHAK'

A bunch of theatre enthusiasts have decided to revive the NID theatre club KHEL. We announced with POSHAK, a third theatre performance in the amphitheatre on 31st January, 2008 at 7.30 pm. Thereon, we also performed at a heritage haveli in the old city on 2nd February, 2008. The final performance was on 3rd february at 'Nukkad' the street play competition at Chaos: the annual IIM-A fest.

POSHAK is a socio-political retelling of the age old tale "The emperor's new clothes". Scripted by the students themselves, this play meanders through rhyme and sattire and aims to question the insane blend of media and pretence we all seem to have become. The actors function as both the props and the characters. The core idea is to etch out a story from nothing to a point where even silences become tangible.

With this play we hope to start (all over again), a dynamic theatre club, which from time to time can become the collective voice of the student community as a whole.
